Sustainable Development Committee
J&V Energy established the Sustainable Development Committee in 2023 to advance its ESG vision and mission, following Board approval. The committee, comprising three directors (including one independent director) and four senior executives, is led by the Chairperson and convened by the General Manager. It serves as the company’s top decision-making committee for sustainability matters, setting medium- and long-term plans. A Sustainability Development Office was also set up under the committee, led by a Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), and includes three ESG working groups: Environmental Sustainability, Social Inclusion, and Corporate Governance, forming a solid sustainability governance framework.
The committee established a Sustainability Practices Charter, approved by the Board, outlining its responsibilities to oversee major ESG strategies, monitor implementation, and evaluate goal achievement. It meets at least twice annually and reports regularly to the Board. In 2024, the committee held two meetings with 100% attendance, covering: (1) Identifying key ESG issues and action plans (2) Setting goals and policies (3) Overseeing implementation and progress.
The Board reviews sustainability progress quarterly, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and the company’s goal of driving a green energy transition and becoming a sustainable green enterprise.
